ABOUT THE QSM

 

The QSM at Sysco Bahamas is our QUARTERLY SALES MEETING, which is a training session for our sales reps. We have improved the offering by adding two (2) mini-shows to allow you to maximise your market visits with our customers. The new program now includes the mini-shows on Thursday and Friday, the actual QSM on Saturday and if you like, you can do scheduled market visits on Monday and Tuesday. If you are a retail supplier, you may not need to do the mini-shows as they are directed towards foodservice customers. Instead, you can have scheduled market visits with the retail sales team.

 

ABOUT THE SALES MEETING

BFS hosts several sales meetings per year at our offices in Nassau, Bahamas. This is your exclusive opportunity to meet all of our salespeople and teach them about your brand. You can use this time to get direct input on the local market, find out how your products are understood and accepted by our sales team and to demonstrate why your product should be included in their sales efforts.

 

The sales meeting takes place on Saturday and is a round robin format. You will be expected to have samples and do about 5 sessions of 15 minutes each.

ABOUT THE MINI SHOWS

 

During your time in Nassau, you are also able to showcase your products to chefs and decision makers at two (2) mini shows on Thursday and Friday for a cost of $300. The Thursday session is Atlantis Paradise Island Resort staff only, and the Friday session includes Bahamar Resort staff and invited customers.

 

COSTS:

 

  • You will be responsible for your travel expenses including airfare and hotel.
  • We are happy to assist you with corporate rates and reservations for local hotels if you need.
  • You will need to organise samples for the 2 mini shows, the actual QSM and for any additional market visits.
  • The cost for the 2 mini shows is $300. You will receive a BFS invoice for this, which you can pay via cash or credit/debit card at the BFS office, or request a billback/deduction from IFG.

 

MARKET VISITS:

Market Visit appointments are available with the sales reps on a first come, first served basis. Contact our Sales Director, Richard Flint regarding making appointments to go on the road with sales reps. You will likely be scheduled for Monday and Tuesday for market visits. If you are a retail supplier, you will likely not attend the mini-shows, and you can choose to do scheduled market visits on Thursday and Friday instead.

SALES MEETING - This is a seminar runs for one day (Saturday) from 12-4PM.  After a short introduction, 50-60 salespersons from the Foodservice and Retail departments will be separated into 5 groups that will move to your table every 20-30 minutes. You will be required to serve samples and present your products. We conclude with a short vote of thanks. 
 

  • ATLANTIS MINI SHOW - runs for one day (Thursday 15 August 2019) from 9AM to 2PM at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. Set-up is at 8:15AM and you will have access to a kitchen until 10AM. Chefs and managers from the Atlantis Resort will be invited to visit.
     
  • WEST MINI SHOW - runs for one day (Friday 16 August 2019) from 9AM to 2PM at the BahaMar Resort. Set-up is at 8:15AM and you will have access to a kitchen until 10AM. Chefs and managers from the BahaMar property including the Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood will be invited to stop by, as well as guests from other properties on the island.
     

SAMPLES

 

You will need sample products for the sales meeting (reps), for the mini-shows (foodservice staff) and for any other market visits. You should also send POS and marketing materials prior to the event.

 

Please be sure to send us a list of the products you will be showing and sampling to the market as NEW ITEMS NEED BE APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT.

Note that you must be flexible on your market visit dates.
